Top 5 Winter Tips:
1. Prepare yourself – Make sure you are ready for everything that can be thrown at you.  Also go to the range and hit some practice shots to get your muscles warm.
Checklist of winter essentials:
Brolly Waterproofs
Spare Towel Winter Mitts
Waterproof glove Harder Golf Ball
2. With the Big Dog - Tee it up higher with the driver for a higher ball flight. This will help the ball travel further in the air as you will get little run on the wet fairways.
3. To the Rescue – Take out the long irons and invest in a rescue club. With a bigger sole and a lower centre of gravity the rescue clubs are designed to be easier to hit and fly higher.
4. Chip with your mid-irons – With the surrounds being wet it is difficult to make good contact with the more lofted clubs - using a 7 or 8 iron allows for a cleaner contact and more consistency.
5. With the flat stick - When putting allow for less break and hit the putts with more pace -  moisture in the greens mean that they are slower and have don’t break as much.
